 Gregory Page is an eclectic, prolific, genre-bending  performing songwriter, balladeer, recording artist, film maker, art activist, music producer, and published poet with an extensive discography. With endearing stage presence, evocative lyrics, masterful  guitar work and warm voice, the London-born artist seamlessly draws from imagination and experience, transcending traditions of folk, Celtic,  Armenian, American Roots, ragtime, blues, swing and French Romanticism  into his own signature idiom that has been described as “Americeltic.”  His music has an old-fashioned "feel-good" quality to it that will leave you smiling.

 Over the years, Page has been recognized with multiple awards for his music, including San Diego Music Awards 1997 Best Acoustic Artist.  His album One Hell of a Memory won Album of the Year and Best Pop Album honors at the 2021 San Diego Music Awards.  Since Page’s first solo album in 1990 — Drawing Down the Moon — he has released over 20 more and appeared as a guest on dozens of others.   He has worked with an array of artists such as Jason Mraz, John Doe, Jewel, Tom Brosseau, Steve Poltz, John C. Reilly, Tim Knol and A.J. Croce.  He has performed in a wide range of venues (London’s 02 Arena) and  international music festivals (Woodford & Manly), having opened for the likes of Bob Dylan, Leon Russell, Judy Collins, Chris Isaak, and Jason Mraz.  According to Mraz: "He’s the real deal, a rare gift." 

The Fish Tank is excited to host The Four Muses' second "Hoot" (short for "hootenanny") on September 21!  Before the Coach House, the Four Muses in San Clemente was THE place to see music acts perform live in south Orange County.   Jonathan Morgan Jenkins, one of three sons of Mary and Jim Jenkins, founders of The Four Muses, is bringing back the "Hoots" in order to showcase local talent....like the originals!

In the early '60s Mary Jenkins, Jonathan's mom, taught guitar lessons to local kids in San Clemente, with the students often performing in their living room along with other up-and-coming musicians.  They outgrew the living room and in 1965 moved to a music lesson center on Avenida de la Estrella in San Clemente.  They soon expanded to three spaces in the building, one of which was The Four Muses folk-rock music club.  Performances, also held at San Clemente High School, included artists who later rose to stardom, such as Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Glenn Frey, Taj Majal, Corky Carroll, Hoyt Axton, Honk, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Steve Martin, Gordon Lightfoot, John Stewart and The Sandals, who provided the musical score for the documentary film, Endless Summer.  Sadly, The Four Muses era ended in 1975, but many lives have been changed by their experiences with The Four Muses.  

Jonathan is recreating the Hootenanny nights at The Fish Tank, using a similar model of several musicians each  playing a few songs.   The first Hoot was attended by many fans and participants of the originals...like a Four Muses reunion, with hugs and plenty of shared memories!  We invite you to join The Four Muses community at The Fish Tank.

 Jazzgrass was put together in 2011 by Barnaby Finch to honor the newer and more progressive side of bluegrass.  There’s  Lily McCabe on fiddle, a talented young lady with a gorgeous tone, who  is also a wonderful singer and featured on quite a few vocal tunes. We  have Don Reed, a famous musician from Idyllwild on mandolin, dobro, and guitar; and Jeremie Levi on fiddle, a virtuoso from France who’s a fixture in the Coachella  Valley, known for his fiery Gypsy Swing concerts. On  bass is Bill Saitta, one of the busiest musicians in the desert area;  and Jeff Olson on drums, who is also in high demand in the Southern  California music scene. Rounding out the band is veteran ace Bob Hamilton, a highly accomplished musician and busy as a first-call  guitarist in the desert.

Jazzgrass is an exciting  band dedicated to toe-tappin’, accessible music, honoring the traditions  of bluegrass, Appalachian music, Americana, and the jazz composers who  have their ears attuned to our rural homeland. Jazzgrass will be performing  music written by Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, Pat Metheny, Dave Grusin,  Barnaby Finch, Natalie McMaster, the Allman Brothers, and many more.

Barnaby Finch, Musical Director

Barnaby Finch, keyboardist and musical director, was, for many years, a touring member of Lee Ritenour's band. He has toured with Lee on and off from 1982 to 2008. Prior stints include  Ronnie Laws, Alphonse Mouzon, Boz Scaggs, Lionel Richie, and David  Foster. His  piano was featured on the Lionel Richie/Diana Ross hit "Endless Love".  From 1982 to 1989 Barnaby toured with George Benson, and from 1987 to  1989 he was conductor and musical director. He  has recorded with Lee Ritenour, George Benson, Pat Kelley, Lee Oscar,  Kazu Matsui, Marlena Shaw, Ronnie Laws, Pressure, Lionel Richie, Earl  Klugh, Anthony Marinelli, Tom Scott, Peter Sprague, Hubert Laws, Patti  Austin, and Kenny Rogers, among others. He was a member of the Tom Scott  Band from 1989 until 1992, performing in the house bands for the "Pat  Sajak Show" and the "Carol Burnett Show" and recording the album "Them  Changes" with Tom. Barnaby  also does jingles, productions and sundry studio work, including his  own albums for Japan ("Digital Madness" on Alfa Moon Records). He performed on the Alex North score for the film "Under The Volcano". In 1991 he produced "L.A. Unit #2" for Japanese release. In  1997, he co-produced the renowned finger-style guitarist Jeff Linsky's  album "Passport To The Heart" for Concord Records, and played on the  critically acclaimed Lee Ritenour album "Alive in L.A.". He has  performed with Eric Marienthal, and wrote music for a television  documentary on American photography entitled "Exposures". In 2004 he  recorded the "Overtime" DVD and CD with Lee Ritenour. He resides in  Idyllwild, California, where he plays jazz on Tuesdays at Ferro with  Paul Carman, and Miles Davis alumnus Dr. Marshall Hawkins.
